DPDU brassard : Warrant Officer Class 2 L Cunningham, 4RAR (Commando)
Description
Brassard in 2003 type Disruptive Pattern Desert Uniform (DPDU) fabric with Velcro adjustment strip on the inside of the sleeve. A sewn on woven fabric patch on the brassard features the Australian flag, machine embroidered in blue, white and red cotton, above the word 'AUSTRALIA' in blue.
History / Summary
Issued to 239707 WO II Laurie Cunningham, of 4 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Commando), for service in Kuwait and Iraq, February - May 2003. Cunningham, who had previously seen service with 6 RAR in East Timor, enlisted in the Australian Army in July 1990. These brassards, although issued, were not worn by members of 4RAR while on service in the Middle East.
