A parade of stretcher bearers of the 1st Field Ambulance about four days after the landing at Anzac Cove. Major Edward Sutherland Stokes is reading divisional orders warning the men against the use of bayonets. The other officers present are Captain Charles Ernest Wassell (wearing glasses), subsequently awarded the DSO, and Captain William Elphinstone Kay.
