Description
The Chateau de la Motte-au-Bois and grounds, near Hazebrouck. It was here that the 1st Anzac Corps established its headquarters upon its arrival in France. The Germans almost reached the chateau in their offensive of April 1918, but their advance was halted by the 1st Australian Division. (Copied from a French postcard.)
