Portrait of NX41715 Private (Pte) James Ronald Fitzgerald, 2/3 Battalion. Pte Fitzgerald of Carlton, NSW, worked as a meter reader prior to his enlistment on 2 August 1941. He died of illness in Egypt on 10 January 1942, aged 33 years. He is buried in the Suez Military Cemetery.
