Group of Australian soldiers seated, having a meal, near a tarpaulin. They are a detachment of the 111th Howitzer Battery. Identified from left to right: Sergeant (Sgt) Roberts; Gunner Green; Gunner Johnston; Gunner Ross; and Gunner Cowper. These men are likely 4733 Sgt George Stanley Roberts; 22409 Gunner Leslie Thomas Green; 2048 Gnr Peter Robert Johnstone; 37339 Gnr (later Corporal) Alexander Harold Ross. Cowper is possibly 3282 Reginald Cooper.
