Portrait of 400998, Flying Officer John Frederick Rich of Rushworth, Vic, No 52 Squadron, RAF. He enlisted with the RAAF in Melbourne, Vic, on 7 December 1940 and flew with No 454 Sqn, RAAF, in the Middle East. He was killed whilst on operations over the Mediterranean Sea on 23 July 1943 aged 27.
