The interior of the officers mess of No 454 Squadron, RAAF, showing the tiled bar, complete with the unofficial squadron crest (a kookaburra) in the centre. Note the art work in the background which was painted by Leading Aircraftman McEwan. The mess was furnished with persian carpets and cane chairs. The two officers are unidentified.
