The front view of No 167 Radar (Ground Controlled Interception) Station, RAAF, erected at Lingkas on the island of Tarakan in 1945. The station was erected to provide early warning of Japanese air raids, during the re-capture of the island on 1 May 1945 (Operation Oboe).
