Description
Studio portrait of 6222 Private (Pte) William Henry Austral Cole, 11th Reinforcements, 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance, of Elsternwick, Vic. Pte Cole enlisted on 8 June 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor on 11 October 1915. On 5 May 1917 he was transferred to the 3rd Command Depot, Hurdcott, England. He returned to Australia on 5 April 1918 as a member of the 6th Training Battalion.
