Description
Studio portrait probably of 3520 Corporal (Cpl) Joseph Allan Whittle, of Adelaide, SA (originally of Worset, England), aged 37 years. Cpl Whittle enlisted on 12 July 1915 and embarked from Adelaide aboard HMAT Benalla on 27 October 1915. He died of disease on 24 October 1917 in Belgium, whilst serving as Sergeant with the 50th Battalion.
