Description
Studio portrait of 3274 Private (Pte) John Patrick Carbery, 11th Reinforcements, 6th Battalion, of East Ballarat, Vic. Pte Carbery enlisted on 2 August 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Nestor on 11 October 1915. He was killed in action on 20 August 1916 at Mouquet Farm, Pozieres, France.
