Grave of 1242 Private (Pte) Joseph Ignatius McBride, 4th Battalion, of Hunters Hill, NSW. Pte McBride enlisted on 23 September 1914 and embarked for service overseas aboard HMAT Euripides on 20 October 1914 from Sydney. He was killed in action 29 June 1915, Gallipoli Peninsula, aged 20 years, and is buried at the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery Anzac.
