Serbia's Day : wednesday the 22nd buy a flag and help our gallant ally...
Description
British First World War poster issued to promote The Serbian Relief Fund. Text only it is printed banner style in red and white against a blue background with a geometric red, white and blue border. The poster urges the viewer to support the fund by buying a flag on Wednesday 22nd. The Serbian Relief Fund was set up in September 1914 to assist with the growing humanitarian crisis in Serbia. Her Majesty the Queen was the society's first Patroness so it is likely that this poster dates from 1914 - 1915.
