Der feind : hort mit! vorsicht am fernsprecher [The enemy listens too! Careful on the phone!]
Description
German First World War poster warning soldiers to be vigilant while on the telephone as the enemy could be listening. In the upper two thirds it features a depiction of a Scottish infantryman, sitting on the ground. He smokes a pipe whilst listening to a telephone headset that he holds against his right ear. Printed in blue and white the title is positioned across the top in dark blue with the rest of the text in white at the bottom held within a blue inset. Both image and text are framed within a white and blue border.
