History / Summary
This medal was issued to Flight Sergeant (Flt Sgt) 411788 Albert Jowers. Jowers was born in Parramatta, NSW in July 1922. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in May 1941, aged 19. He served with 142 Squadron, RAF, and was killed in a flying battle over the Mediterranean on 23 February 1943.
