Description
Studio portrait of two signallers. One is probably identified as: 3058A Private (Pte) Thomas George Dearness, 7th Reinforcements, 25th Battalion, of Townsville, Qld. Pte Dearness enlisted on 18 September 1915 and embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Itonus. He was wounded at Pozieres in 1916 and was killed in action on 7 June 1917 at Messines, Belgium as a member of the 47th Battalion.
