Identified, left to right: Sadie Slocum, Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Australian Red Cross; William Henry Lyford; VX35482 Private (Pte) Lawrence Gordon Mountford, 2/30 Battalion; Louisa Lyford, VAD Australian Red Cross; and an unidentified Lance Corporal of 2/30 Battalion. Pte Mountford, of Leeton, NSW (originally of Longton, England), was taken prisoner of war in Malaya during the Second World War.
