Transport driver sleeping behind his truck at Larrimah
Description
A transport driver sleeping behind his truck at Larrimah in the Northern Territory. These drivers often had to drive over 200 miles per day in very hot weather, often driving for seven days at a stretch. This driver is suffering from dysentery from the bore water and the heat. Illness was common for the drivers who had little rest and often had to load and unload the trucks in the three days they had off from driving.
