Group Captain (Gp Capt) Ian Meyn, Chief of Staff, Australian National Headquarters Baghdad (ASNHQ), briefs members of the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) after arriving at the Presidential Palace North. The palace became the temporary home of the Australian National Headquarters Baghdad (ASNHQ). During Operation Falconer, 2RAR formed part of the Australian Security Detachment (SECDET) responsible for providing protection to Australian Diplomats in Iraq. 2RAR operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian commitment to the coalition forces assembled to disarm Iraq.
