Description
In southern Iraq a group of Iraqi children crowd around an unidentified member of Blue Team, Australian Clearance Diving Team 3 (AUSCDT3), to receive Australian rations. During Operation Falconer, AUSCDT3 conducted mine clearance operations, that consisted of Shallow water Mine Counter Measures (MCM) and EOD in the Khawr Abd Allah waterway, Um Qasr, the Al Faw peninsula, and later the Khawr az Zubayr waterway. AUSCDT3 operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian commitment to the coalition forces assembled to disarm Iraq.
