Crew members of HMAS Kanimbla at work in the control room of the ship's engine room while on operations in the Khawr Abd Allah (KAA) waterway. Identified are Leading Seaman Phil Bromley (standing, foreground), Seaman Jason Papadopoulos (seated, foreground), Able Seaman Dave Pender (standing, background) and Petty Officer Scott Wasley (seated, background). During Operation Falconer, HMAS Kanimbla supplied command and control support to the coalition boarding parties clearing the KAA waterway. HMAS Kanimbla also provided support to the Australian Clearance Diving Team 3 (AUSCDT3) through the provision of logistics support and work platform facilities. HMAS Kanimbla operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian Defence Force's commitment to the coalition forces assembled to enforce Iraq's compliance with its international obligations to disarm.
