Lieutenant (Lt) Justin Back, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, on patrol at the former Australian Embassy residence. In the background is an Australian light Armoured Vehicle, fron the 2nd Cavalry Regiment, and its crew. The 2nd Cavalry Regiment are operating as part of the Australian Security Detachment (SECDET). SECDET is responsible for providing protection to Australian Diplomats and Australian Defence Force personnel during the reconstruction period in Iraq. The 2nd Cavalry Regiment operated in the Middle East as part of the Australian Defence Force's commitment to the coalition forces assembled to enforce Iraq's compliance with its international obligations to disarm.
