Description
A French solider wearing a double breasted coat and military medal walks along the sea side with the aid of an artificial wooden left leg and a walking stick. He places his left hand on the shoulder of a young boy who wears a military cap and supports the soldier as they look out to sea. The harbour contains three sail boats in the distance.
The poster was issued to advertise a collecting day in Vendée for fund raising for comforts for soldiers, the wounded and prisoners of war.
