Description
Informal group portrait of (L-R) Group Captain Ian Meyn, Brigadier Maurie McNarn and Lieutenant Colonel James McMahan within the compound of the Presidential Palace North. Previously used by deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, the palace became the temporary home of the Australian National Headquarters Baghdad (ASNHQ) during Operation Falconer. The damage to the building in the background was probably the result of Coalition bombing during the early stages of the war.
