Description
Cartridge employed by the French Mle 1916 Infantry Gun. The catridge is a rimmed, bottle-necked, brass drawn case that has been extensively embossed with trench art. The trench art features floral patterns and a coat of arms from Reims. The projectile is a solid steel spitzer design with two copper driving bands near the base. Both the brass cartridge case and the projectile are highly polished. Markings - REIMS; DJEU EN SOIT GARDE; Rim Markings - T-C.37; MX CIN 10.3.12; PROOF CYPHERS AND ORDNANCE STAMPS.
