Presentation fob : Australian Red Cross Society
Description
Brass presentation watch fob with a decorative scrolled edge. The bottom is edged with laurel leaves and the top, which bears a ring for attachment to a watch chain, is surmounted by a small rising sun. A band across the bottom is engraved '1918'. There is an inset copper disc in the centre with raised lettering around the rim 'AUSTRALIAN CONVALECENT DEPOT'. The centre of the disc is engraved 'BOXING'. The back of the fob has a smooth finish and a circle of raised lettering 'PRESENTED BY THE AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS SOCY'. Inside the circle is 'WON BY' but the name has not been filled in.
