Description
Studio portrait of 3805A Driver (Dvr) Francis James Kinsella, 12th Reinforcements, 14th Battalion, of Kotupna, Vic. Dvr Kinsella enlisted on 27 July 1915 and embarked from Melbourne aboard HMAT Ceramic on 23 November 1915. He died of accidental wounds on 29 December 1917 in France whilst serving with the 12th Field Artillery Brigade. His cousin, 2029 Private Claud Spencer, 6th Battalion, was killed on 8 May 1915 at the landing on Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey.
