Entertainer Sylvia Raye performs during her tour of Vietnam and Malaya. Photographed from the rear of the stage, an appreciative audience enjoys the performance. Identified in the audience is 58701 Allan John Beer, 8th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (8 RAR) (right front). Sylvia Raye was a member of an ABC Concert Band, comprising five entertainers and 16 musicians led by Eric Cook. Her costume is held in the collection at the Australian War Memorial (REL31746).
