A seven man bomber crew standing in front of their Avro Lincoln Bomber, identified left to right: Flight Lieutenant (Flt Lt) John Grame (?), wireless operator; 401535 Squadron Leader (Sqn Ldr) Leslie Eyre Parker DFC, navigator; 14850 Sqn Ldr Phillip James Cornwell DFM, MID, flight engineer; 413248 Sqn Ldr Edgar Lewis Pickles DFC and Bar, pilot; 421680 Flt Lt Arthur John Henry DFC, second pilot; 422632 Flt Lt Douglas Dean MacDonald DFC, radar navigator; and 407982 Flt Lt William Harry (Billy) Brooker DFC, tail gunner. This bomber with black undersurfaces was manufactured in Britain, and donated by the Royal Air Force to the Royal Australian Air Force on 26 March 1946.
