Description
Crowds fill the city streets on Armistice Day in Melbourne.
The crowds are thronging at the intersection of, and along, Bourke and Sping Streets, as the camera points up Bourke Street. Buildings on the right of the image, including "Coles' Book Arcade", "T Humphrey Art Photographer", "Kodak Australia Limited" and "Weber Pianos", are hanging flags of different allied nations celebrating the end of the fighting of the First World War.
