Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX27026 Private Willaim Alfred Flowers, 2/9 Field Ambulance, Changi, 1943.
Wallet 1 of 1 - contains an account written by Flowers about his impressions of the Malayan campaign and as a prisoner of war [undated] and a British Red Cross Identity Certificate.
Oversize folder 1 of 1 - contains a copy of a plan of the memorial in the Roberts Barracks hospital area, Changi, August 1943; a photograph of the memorial cairn and garden constructed by the patients at Changi hospital; and a photograph of the demolished memorial cairn, destroyed by the Japanese after the removal of the hospital to Selarang.
