Portrait of Group Captain (Gp Capt) Geoff Brown, against a sky background. Gp Capt Brown was Commander of the Australian Air Element Headquarters in the Coalition Forces Air Component Command, based in Saudi Arabia, during the 2003 invasion of Iraq. As such he had command of the air component of Operation Falconer, the Australian contribution to operations in Iraq, including the first Australian fighter deployment into a war zone since the Korean War.
