This picture shows the bad state of the roads in and around Gili Gili where Australian troops are stationed on the shores of Milne Bay. An AIF truck is seen hopelessly bogged. Identified, standing at left are: Leaning against the truck without a shirt is Q1148 Signalman Don R Eric Mortensen and next to him is Q102697 Signalman Don R Ivor 'Tibby' Brown and at right is: SX11658 Corporal Albert Carl Coppi, 2/10 Battalion, of Bowden, SA.
