Studio portrait of 2295 Private Harold Randall, 47th Battalion. An 18 year old cordial maker of Charters Towers, Qld, prior to enlistment, he embarked with the 4th Reinforcements on HMAT Boorara (A42) on 16 August 1916. He was killed in action at the Battle of Messines on 8 June 1917, aged 19 years. He has no known grave and is listed on The Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial Belgium.
