Universal obligation in respect to naval or military training
Description
Text based poster printed in red ink on white paper. This notice advises boys who turned 14 years of age in 1918 to present themselves for military training. Those who failed to register would be fined £10. Universal obligation was putatively not linked to conscription, however some considered its enforcement during the war as a harbinger of conscription.
