Description
An unidentified Australian soldier relaxes in a tent at Camp RAMSI. Camp RAMSI was the military and police headquarters of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), established at the former Guadalcanal Beach Resort near Honiara. Australian infantry from 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), and troops from the Force Support Battalion, both deployed from Townsville, were based at Camp RAMSI. They provided security and logistical support to the multi-national policing operation.
