Left to right: Private (Pte) Milnes, an unidentified soldier, Pte Butler (partly obscured), Pte Percival, Sapper Martin of 21 Troop, 3rd Combat Engineer Regiment, and an unidentified soldier. Camp RAMSI was the military and police headquarters of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), established at the former Guadalcanal Beach Resort near Honiara. Australian infantry from 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR), and troops from the Force Support Battalion, both deployed from Townsville under Operation Anode, were based at Camp RAMSI. They provided security and logistical support to the multi-national policing operation.
