Local people and two members of 8 Platoon, C Company, of the Second Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment (2RAR) listen to a performance by Sydney band The Tommy Flowers at Kolina. The soldier on the left is Corporal Shelverton; on the right is an unidentified sergeant. The infantry from 2RAR provided military support to the newly established police post at Kolina, a village on the remote Weather Coast of Guadalcanal. Kolina had been a stronghold of militant leader Harold Keke, prior to his surrender to police and military forces of the Regional Assistance Mission to the Solomon Islands (RAMSI), on 13 August 2003. The Kolina police post was established on 16 August 2003 as part of Operation Anode, Australia's contribution to RAMSI. The Tommy Flowers also played a concert at Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara, celebrating one hundred days of RAMSI.
