Description
Studio portrait of 273 Lance Corporal (LCpl) Percy Oscar Maxey, 19th Battalion, A Company, a watchmaker of North Sydney, NSW. LCpl Maxey enlisted on 4 March 1915 and embarked on HMAT Ceramic from Melbourne on 25 June 1915 for service overseas. Maxey was promoted to Lance Sergeant and was killed in action in France, on 3 May 1917, aged 27 years.
