Studio portrait of NX15993 Corporal (Cpl) (later Lieutenant) Thomas (Tim) McDougall Ewing, 2/2nd Machine Gun Battalion. A native of Lismore, NSW, Cpl Ewing died of wounds during the New Guinea campaign on 12 September 1943, aged 30 years. He is buried in Lae War Cemetery, Papua New Guinea.
