Studio portrait of 30954 Gunner (Gnr) Roy Eric Wood, 5th Division Trench Mortar Battery, of Wollstonecraft, NSW. Gnr Wood worked as an apprentice electrical engineer prior to enlisting on 21 August 1916. He was killed in action at Zonnebeke Ridge, Belgium, on 10 November 1917, aged 20 years.
