Collection relating to 205726 Warrant Officer Colin Henry Mills, Air Gunner, 10 Squadron Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), Second World War. Collection comprises original logbook covering the period August 1941 to March 1945 in Europe and Australia. Includes newpaper cuttings.
The logbook includes training and operations in Sunderland aircraft whilst based in Great Britain, including high and low level bombing, transportation, and a successful attack on a U-boat on 6 June 1942. Newspaper cuttings pasted inside the log book relate to this attack. From March 1943 Mills was based in Australia. Mills flew in various aircraft, including Avro Ansons, Gypsy Moths, Bristol Beauforts and Wirraways. He flew further operations and from January 1945, as an instructor.
