Storage box : Telescope Sighting No 38 Mk I
Description
Rectangular box of screwed and dovetailed timber construction, used for storing a Telescopic Sight, Number 38 Mk I. The interior of the box is fitted with three felt covered profiles which support the sight when it is stored. The hinged lid is secured by two swivelling brass hooks. There are two further brass fittings which are intended to hold a webbing strap in position, but the strap is not present.
