Woollen scarf : Turkish Army
Coarsely woven undyed woollen scarf. The short ends and one long side are turned in and finished with orange machine stitching. A selvedge forms the other long side.
This scarf, typical of the poor quality of uniform and cothing issued to many Turkish troops, was collected in Palestine in 1918 by the Australian War Records Section.
