German Infantrymans 1943 Pattern grey tunic
Description
German Army 1943 Pattern grey tunic with two breast pockets and two expanding hip pockets. The pockets are secured by metal buttons. The tunic has infantry collar badges and shoulder straps. There is a German Eagle surmounting a swastika badge on the right had side breast pocket. The inside of the tunic is lined with nylon and has a pocket on the right hand side secured with a bakelite button, at waist level it has three loops of material with one missing, presumabley for a belt. On the inside of the right had flap is written 'FESTUNGS - INFANTERLE- RGT. 939 / ABT / N. / BETR.RA. 42 41. 88 67 66.'. There are two bakelite buttons at the cuff used for adjustment of tightness.
