Description
Unidentified Australian officer, possibly of the 5th or another other 2nd Brigade battalion standing beside a humorous sign saying "Don't visit us in daylight. We live here! You don't". A none- too-subtle warning that "visitors" moving on or about hidden dugouts could quickly bring down upon the occupants highly accurate enemy artillery fire. Original negative donated by Chaplain Walter E Dexter DSO MC DCM in the 1920's with no accompanying caption information.
