Description
Grave of 23 Sergeant (Sgt) Charles Harold Turner, A Company 5th Battalion AIF. An engineer from Malvern, Vic, Sgt Turner enlisted on 15 August 1914 and embarked for overseas service on board HMAT Orvieto (A3). He died of disease at Mena Hospital, Cairo, Egypt on 12 January 1915 and is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery. He was 22.
