Description
Collection relating to the service of Able Seaman Alan Green and Able Seaman Wallace Alfred Eves, HMAS Bendigo, Royal Australian Navy, during the Second World War. The collection comprises correspondence between Eves, Green and his brother Stan in October 2003 describing events aboard HMAS Bendigo during its defence of the east coast of Australia during 1942-43. Other papers include an extract of a magazine article describing the attack by Japanese midget submaries in Sydney Harbour on 31 May 1942 and a list of ships sunk along the eastern coast of Australian during 1942-43.
