Trooper, C Squadron, 1 Armoured Regiment, 10 February 1969 to 11 February 1969 andTrooper, B Squadron, 1 Armoured Regiment, 12 February 1969 to 17 December 1969. Scene 37, Take 1: Describes incident at Binh Ba; a field vehicle had been hit by RPG rocket travelling through Binh Ba; replacement tank and recovery vehicle sent from Nui Dat, tank hit and crew injured; fired back into village and radioed back to Nui Dat. Reaction troops responded; Binh Ba large, well established village of fifty-sixty housed. Infantry in APCs only fired on huts where fire had come from and moved through clearing village. Enemy hiding in bunkers. Tank crew commander seriously injured in leg and operator had shrapnel wounds to face and deafness. Killed twenty to thirty North Vietnamese soldiers running from rear of village as Australians advanced. Scene 37, Take 2: Abandoned damaged tank and moved to area where chopper would air lift wounded out. Scene 37, Take 3: After tank was hit, no control over gun.
