Portrait of NX52597 Private Thomas William Rutter an Aboriginal serviceman of Gulargambone who served in the 2/33 Battalion. On 27 November 1942 Pte Rutter died of wounds sustained at Soputa, New Guinea, during the advance toward Buna and Sanananda.
